Supporting ELL Readers

There will be 4 workshops in this series that each focus on a different component of targeted reading instruction based on Sheltered Instructional Observation Practices (SIOP) Strategies from the Center of Applied Linguistics (CAL).

Big Ideas Book Study: Teaching English Language Learners Across the Curriculum

Come read and discuss the language demands of Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and examine the instructional strategies for teaching and assessing content and language as well as reading and writing. This is an informal book study series and formal one will be offered after Spring Break.
