Welcome to the Langley ELL Department
Our Goals
The English Language Learner (ELL) program supports children from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Assistance for ELL students requires attention to language proficiency, intellectual development, and citizenship.

Elementary ELL
Each Elementary School has an Itinerant ELL Teacher who can be contacted through the school office. There are also two District ELL Teachers who aid in coordinating the ELL Elementary Department and can be contacted for resources, lesson idea, and presentations on supporting ELLs. Secondary ELL
Each Secondary School has an ELL Department Head who can be contacted through the school office.
SWIS
Settlement Workers in Schools (SWIS) and Multicultural workers work with immigrant and refugee families to help them transition to daily life in Canada. You can request support for your students, interpretations, and more by contacting the SWIS Department’s manager Lisa Weaver.
International Students Programming
The International Education Department is housed on the first floor at the Langley School District Board Office. All inquiries regarding the International Student Program should be directed to this office at (604)-534-7891.
